As your new wheels are wider (most likely by a factor of 5-6mm) than any that were previously fitted by you, even if they have no more inherent flex than the previous set, without your calipers let out slightly you would expect that they might then rub the pads under higher loadings - we are sure you are still riding well! We hope this information will help your understanding of why the spokes were not included and we would be surprised if your wheels actually flexing by a much greater margin than the set they replaced. Quite often when wheels are touching against the brake pads under a high load at least 50% of the flex is occurring in the frameset. Regarding flex and wheelsets, it needs to be understood that all wheels will flex to a greater or lesser degree, but the back end of a bike also flexes, the seat tube acts like a hinge in this respect.

The result being that a cycle of repeated spoke breakage then occurs. This means the replacement spoke is subject to more tension than it should be because the spokes should all be brought up to tension simultaneously. I've now ridden the wheels on TT bike and I am extremely happy with them. It went on the Hunt wheel with minimum of fuss and inflated at first attempt with track pump. I have wheels that I have had to abandon fitting this tyre to, hence 2 spare in garage.
First tyre I fitted was the notoriously tight GP5000TL 25mm (the original). Converting between QR and Thru bolt on the axles is super easy if you need this.
Bang on spec weight (first wheelset I've bought that achieved that!) and the look and feel of quality. Order exactly as I requested with parts for both QR and Thru Bolt (each bike different) together with spare spokes. Delivery was super fast and wheels carefully packed. Hunt were great with comms, both in discussing my requirements and order process. The Aerodynamicist 54 seemed to fit the bill perfectly.
